Gym a knee Crickets... Proposed $10M+ School Capital Project for Wants, not Needs

Check out the Observer's take on the Chesterfield County School administration's latest attempted educational necessity... TWO GYMS....

During his presentation to the committee, David Myers, assistant superintendent for budget and finance, said the $13 million improvements at Midlothian High were approved by voters in the 2004 bond referendum. Similar improvements at Monacan were not included in the referendum. Some school board members believe Monacan needs to be updated so it’s consistent with all other high schools in the county.

2004?  Four years before the bottom dropped out in the county.  Soon to be seven years ago!  Don't you think that our priorities have changed as Taxpayers just a wee bit lad?

Is this an election year?  At least Holland has it right for the upcoming year and can be our Official Conscience for the moment...
Dale Supervisor Jim Holland raised the same issue last month, questioning CCPS’ priorities since both schools are under capacity. Holland called for CCPS to “look at what our core priorities are.”

We need some new school board members that will put this bloated school administration on notice... Who will step up?  Stay tuned...

Taxpayers are frank; but, always polite. Use commonsense and write like you would to your mother...
