For the second straight year, the school is participating in a U.S. Department of Agriculture program that makes sure they have a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable four days a week. Four other county schools have also begun participating this year.
What will the other zoo animals eat now? I'm glad we aren't $14 TRILLION in debt! AND we can afford to expand the fruit program for those that can afford it. It makes sense to indoctrinate kids with fruit.

Sure and cradle to grave "care" of our newest citizens. Raise them to be dependent on the government and they will...wait for it... be dependent. Give them entitlements and we will have little soldiers screaming "Where is my fruit?" "Who moved my fruit?"
It sounds like some fruit agribusiness companies got in bed with the government and hatched a much needed fruit program. Wonderful... crony capitalism.or fruit loops?
