Chesterfield's Bloat-out: Raiding the Virginia Retirement System

A bailout is on the way for Chesterfield.  It will be announced very soon to much fanfare.  The General Assembly has raided the VRS fund and tough local government decisions will be put off yet another year.  The clue comes from the Chesterfield Observer...
Asked after the hearing, County Administrator Jay Stegmaier said Chesterfield hasn’t held back any local funding in developing the budget. He hopes the state funding cuts won’t be as much as previously anticipated, but his staff is still analyzing the state budget compromise.
Every once in a while, The Taxpayer will have a hunch that will need an announcement.  This is one of them.

The Bloat wins again.  Unless 3 out of 5 supervisors stand with The Taxpayer and cuts government spending in tough times.  If not, next year will be even worse...
