More BOS Pirates plundering The Taxpayer

So the coffee beans weren't even done when I saw pirates in the Times Dispatch this morning....

Dale District Supervisor James M. “Jim” Holland said Wednesday at a Budget and Audit Committee meeting that he will propose to the Board of Supervisors setting a voter referendum for a 4 percent meals tax.

Midlothian District Supervisor Daniel A. Gecker will propose that the board advertise a 2-cent increase to the county’s current real estate tax rate of 95 cents per $100 of assessed value. The tax rate has remained at that level since supervisors lowered it by 2 cents in 2008.

Obviously, The Taxpayer is taken aback by these "bold decisions"... The Taxpayer thinks they are "old derisions"...

Instead the Taxpayer offers another vision where our elected officials hold the administration accountable.  This time let's go with the "Revenue Recovery" Department.  What in tarnation is this?  Well they collect EMS transport funds and then proceed to waste these revenues on things like "conferences"... Fifteen employees had a heck of a time in FY2011.  Let's take a peek inside the waste...

$90,000 for fifteen employees. The math says $6,000 per employee for education at conferences in one year. Must be nice.

Oh... in FY12 budget they get $201,800 for new furniture and equipment.

The revolt is on... plunderers beware.  The questions and embarrassment will only get worse.

Taxpayers are frank; but, always polite. Use commonsense and write like you would to your mother...
