$4.1 M more from the state. $11.7M more (freshly printed) from the feds. We must be in high cotton. Nope it is just a "one time infusion" from those feds for the eighth time.
$6.2M less from Chesterfield County. Sounds like a sustainable plan.
Will the School Board make the cuts this year or put it off another year and rely on VRS / state bailout or another federal bailout?
The board also voted 4-1 to approve a proposed $143.6 million, five-year capital improvement plan, which seeks $29.7 million from the Board of Supervisors to fund the plan for fiscal 2012.Rajah gets a taxpayer hero award for voting against the aforementioned $10M for gyms. Too bad is still slipped on through in these tough times with outgoing Trammell saying
"We cannot afford as a county to let our older facilities deteriorate."
Too bad we cannot afford to replace them either. But we can replace our School Board in November.

Taxpayers are frank; but, always polite. Use commonsense and write like you would to your mother...
